What does this cost (for me and for the host club of the event)?
Nothing! It is FREE to you and to your club! Each online credit card registration will include a small convenience charge (10%) paid by the entrant. We have found that Exhibitors agree that this minimal charge is well worth it as part of an alternative entry method if they don't want to call a Trial Secretary to request a Premium or Registration form, wait for it to come in the mail, search for each dog's registration information that is needed, fill the forms out manually for each dog, address an envelope, write out a check, take it all to the post office to mail by the closing date because they are not sure of the postage needed or they feel they need to pay to send it overnight mail, and then wonder whether or not their entry was accepted so maybe they should call or e-mail or fax or stop by the trial secretary to find out what's going on with their entry … Dog Events Online charges the exhibitor this "Online Entry Convenience Fee" which is 10% of the entry amount for credit card entries.

How can Dog Events Online make my job as Event/Trial Secretary easier?
Imagine this - you electronically download all entry data and import it into your trial software. All Exhibitor information is stored in our database for your easy retrieval...you don't have to decipher handwriting and then enter it all into your computer! Less paperwork - better tracking - fewer phone calls and e-mails - fewer hassles! Allow your exhibitors to enter your event online using their credit card through our website, instead of handwriting an entry form and mailing it to you with a check. The overwhelming majority of comments received from people who use our service are that they LOVE it!

Can I accept Event Entries online with a Credit Card AND by regular mail with a check?
Yes. All "Instant Entries" made online with a credit card will be registered in real-time, and you can also accept manual entries you would receive by mail that are paid by check.

What if my event limits the number of entries?
No problem. Dog Events Online can even track an "inventory" of entries to be accepted. Once the limit is reached, online entries will no longer be accepted. If you are accepting manual entries by mail, you will need to appropriately update your event's Inventory of openings as you fill them. In this scenario, it is extremely important that the Secretary updates the inventory on the website as entries are received. For a trial that fills in a few hours, this may require you to make up-to-the-minute inventory updates.

How do I update the "Inventory?"
Set the number of entries you want to allow for sale as Instant Entries online in the Inventory of Openings on the website in the trial Administration Area. That reserves spaces for those entries. When that number of Instant Entries is sold online, the website will no longer accept Instant Entries for that trial.

How does my club receive the entry fees from the online credit card registrations?
After the closing date of the event, we send you a regular check by mail from Dog Events Online / The Yellow Spot, Inc. for all of the Instant Entries received online, along with an itemized statement of the entries. (You can download electronic versions of the entries in a flat file that we will customize for you to import into your Trial Secretary software. Several other file download types are also available. That way, you can use your software's accounting features.)

How do Dog Events Online service fees compare to other online registration services?
Dog Events Online charges the exhibitor 10% to cover administrative costs for creating and managing this online credit card entry service. Onofrio charges $2.00 per class, and Infodog charges $3.50 per trial (day), and Dog Events Online charges 10% on the total entry fees. An example of total entry fees paid by the exhibitor for a 2-day AKC Agility trial entry:

How long before the opening date must I set up my account with Dog Events Online?
Well, a lead time of at least a month is very helpful, so please contact us at least 1 month prior to the opening date of your Event, or as long as 2 years in advance. We need all of your Event Information verified and we need to walk you through the Secretary Administration area so that you can easily and accurately track your Event Entries...both online and by mail. In any case and at any time, we will work with you with whatever timeline we have, to do whatever it takes to get your account ready to accept Instant Entries!

How do I open up my Secretary's Account?
